The Haflong Town Committee has been constituted on 1912 and later converted to Haflong Municipal Board on 2019.

Haflong is a town and headquarters of Dima Hasao in india in the state of Assam. It is the only hill station in Assam. Haflong has been derived from the Dimasa language meaning ‘Ant Hill’.
